Sandra Lim, crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2024, is a trailblazer who made history by placing in the Top 30 at the Miss Universe competition in Mexico City on 16th November 2024. This marks a monumental achievement, as Sandra is the first Malaysian in 53 years to secure a placement at the prestigious pageant.

A martial artist with a black belt in Wushu and a previous international gold medalist, Sandra is a talented actress known for her versatility, determination, and passion for advocacy. She champions education for underprivileged children and women’s empowerment, using her platform to inspire and uplift others.

Sandra’s groundbreaking accomplishment has not only brought pride to Malaysia but also solidified her status as a role model and an ambassador of the nation’s culture, resilience, and spirit.

Lesley Cheam

Miss Universe Malaysia 2022

26-year-old Lesley Cheam is a first-time pageant participant from Kuala Lumpur. Standing at 166cm tall, she holds a degree in Pharmaceutical and Health Science from the University of Nottingham, Malaysia, and worked as an assistant manager (product marketing) before joining the Miss Universe Malaysia 2022 pageant.

 

Francisca Luhong James

Miss Universe Malaysia 2020

Francisca is a native lady of Kayan-Kenyah-Iban ethnicity from Kuching, Sarawak. She holds a First Class Honours degree in Mass Communication majoring in Public Relations. Her advocacy is focused on women empowerment, and she wants to continue to empower young girls to be the best versions of themselves, tackle the problems that they are facing, work together to create a positive change in society and produce more female youth leaders.

 

Shweta Sekhon

Miss Universe Malaysia 2019

Shweta was born and raised in the heart of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. She believes that her voice is the strongest weapon, using her title as Miss Universe Malaysia, Shweta aims to reach out to young women to help build their self-confidence and self-esteem. By inspiring them to overcome all fears, obstacles and challenges that come their way, she hopes to show them that the sky is the limit when it comes to reaching for their goals.

 

 

Jane Teoh

Miss Universe Malaysia 2018

This proud Penangite describes herself as diligent, humble and a hard worker. She juggles between pursuing a finance degree, modelling and using her influence as Miss Universe Malaysia to inspire the next generation that hard work pays off to make you better than yesterday and to get to where you want to be tomorrow.

 

 

 

 

 

Kiran Jassal

Miss Universe Malaysia 2016

Kiran Jassal is one of the celebrity ambassadors for Malaysia AIDS Foundation. She is now pursuing her studies in Dentistry and aspires to set up her own orthodontic practice.

 

Vanessa Tevi Kumares

Miss Universe Malaysia 2015

Vanessa Tevi represents PUMA as the brand’s official ambassador for the Southeast Asia market, in conjunction with their “Do You” campaign. She garnered acclaim by being the first contestant to embrace winner Pia Wurtzbach, during the Miss Universe 2015 finals.

 

 


Sabrina Beneet

Sabrina Beneett holds a degree in Bachelor of Science majoring in psychology and communication before being crowned Miss Universe Malaysia in 2014 and is now a successful runway model.

 

 

 

 


Carey Ng


Miss Universe Malaysia 2013


A former ballerina and rhythmic gymnast, Carey is an architectural graduate who has graced the covers of Female, August Man and FHM magazines and appeared in television advertisements for MyEG and Malaysian Airlines. She was appointed as MUMO’s National Director from 2014 – 2016.

 

Kimberley Leggett

Miss Universe Malaysia 2012

Kimberley Leggett was the face and ambassador for Nestle Fitnesse in 2012, where she also worked as a model for various print ads, commercials and fashion shows. She is now a professional personal trainer and nutrition coach based in Australia.

 

 


Deborah Priya Emmanuel Henry


Miss Universe Malaysia 2011


Deborah Henry is internationally acclaimed for her participation in co-founding Fugee School, a non-profit charity organization that provides basic education to Somalian refugee children. Henry’s contribution was included in Forbes Magazine’s list of top Asian philanthropists in 2013. She was also one of the TV hosts for NTV7’s talk show, Bella and appeared in 2011 Malaysian epic film, Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa.

 

 


Nadine Ann Thomas

Nadine is now a renowned DJ under the tutelage of Malaysian Hip-Hop artist, Joe Flizzow and is also a model/actress.
